Krav Maga Instructor training Day 6 - Phase 1.
Its nearly 8 am - I have been up since 6, re running over the planning - assessments of the Instructors - checking my notes and highlighted coaching points for the trainees to address.
This morning is a bit of a relief as I realised the guys are performing at or above the required level, most have consistantly done so.  The whole group is slowing as the aches and pains of the last 5 days are building up.  Motivation is good but if they sit they dont want to get up. I remember the feeling well ;-)
The tough part is that knowing how sore and tired they are, I have to pick up the intensity of training yet again.  For some its been a real shock - 2 of the lads spent months preparing and one lost a stone in the process.Other have spent less time preparing physically and are struggling - some have been struggling with fitness since day 3.
Note
If you want to do Krav Maga Instructor training fitness is the foundation of your training.
Today more fighting, demanding workouts, tough combatives drills and minimal recovery. Tough training, pressure, pressure, pressure. Forging fighters under intense pressure and then in the middle of all this pulling them out and making them teach Krav Maga. Constantly  assessing them against the krav maga teaching methodology and principles of the system.
Guess we will see what they have got left in the tank…..
