The Launch of a new UK Association.
It is my great pleasure to formally announce the opening of the British Krav Maga Association.
We have worked closely with Krav Maga Worldwide for the past year, a great organisation, with great people, but we wanted to go our way and develop our own unique UK based Krav Maga Association.
So, on Monday the 3rd of May the British Krav Maga Association officially opens its doors.
We already have some promising new Instructor Candidates ready to commence the tough 18 day Krav Maga Instructor course on June the 5th.
From the offset we set out to be different. We chose to build a professional organisation offering a register of highly trained professional Krav Maga Instructors. We are also the only UK Krav Maga Organisation offering a Nationally recognised training certification (City and Guilds 7303 -PTLLS).
We are also the only organisation to have reviewed the curricula against real crime statistics and altered the order of techniques to meet the real needs of students. In short we offer evidence based training and a full curricula based around current crime statistics and victim surveys.
Whilst we have kept the principles and techniques of Krav Maga, we reviewed teaching and training principles in light with cutting edge research into human performance under stress.
We have schools due to open in North Bristol, East Bristol, Taunton, Cumbria, Plymouth, Warminster, Bath, Exmouth. This is in addition to the Weston, Clifton, Bedminster, and Southville schools.
This means more schools, more Instructors and more Krav Maga. It also means we will have a large enough body of students to start flying interesting people in from Israel and abroad. More exciting developments due here later on this year.
